The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Centre for ADR is currently seeking eligible student teams and dispute resolution professionals to participate in the 12th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition. Those interested in expanding their mediation skills and creating valuable connections should apply now.

The ICC Mediation Competition is the largest international moot exclusively devoted to international commercial mediation. Open to student teams from any business or law school of all disciplines with a strong interest in commercial mediation, the Competition offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the next generation to improve their mediation know-how and open doors to their future professions. Additionally, with its expansive international reach and selection of top talent, the Competition is a “must attend” event for the mediation community, drawing over 500 participants each year.

ICC hand picks 66 university teams to take part in the Competition, which takes place from 3-8 February 2017. While the first selection round of student teams has already been determined, the second round is still open for a few more days.

“Every year we receive more outstanding applications so the acceptance process has become quite competitive. But it is exciting to see the diversity in the applicant pool. So far, 20 countries are represented and this year we’re thrilled to have Greece and Romania as new additions to the ever-growing list,” said Sara Debenedetti Project Manager at the ICC Centre for ADR , the body that administers ICC Mediation, Expertise, Dispute Boards and DOCDEX proceedings under the ICC Rules. Of the 66 teams, 20 spaces are reserved for universities that have not previously participated in the Competition.
